In Houston Grand Opera's comic Don Pasquale, the bumbling Don Pasquale dumps his nephew and heir, Ernesto, because he won't dump his strumpet girlfriend, Norina. Pasquale decides to get himself a new heir, in the form of a wife, and cut Ernesto out of the equation. Too bad he unwittingly hooks up with naughty Norina. Disguised as shy Sofronia, Norina plans to exact revenge from her nemesis by marrying him and then bamboozling money out of him. Not to worry, though — since this is a comedy, you can be sure that Ernesto hasn't seen the last of his lady love. 2 p.m. today; show runs through February 4 . For tickets and showtimes, call 713-228-6737 or visit www.houstongrandopera.org. Tickets start at $20.
