Faster Pussycat! Grind! Grind!
Published on August 10, 2006
On its MySpace page, the buzz-saw-swift metal band Faster Pussycat describes its sound as "music to fuck to" and, even more than most bands formed in the '80s glam-metal boom, the group maintains a constant sex theme. The band takes its name from Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, a movie by big-boob exploiter extraordinaire Russ Meyer. Guitarist Brent Muscat co-owned the infamous Los Angles nightclub the Cathouse, and the band's repertoire includes "The Power, the Glory Hole," "Bathroom Wall" and "Where There's a Whip, There's a Way." The band is currently embarking on its 20th anniversary tour and with its members (no pun intended) reaching their forties, we have to wonder: Will the next album include the songs "Slip Me Some Cialis and Plug Me In" and "I'm Gonna Rock You (As Soon As Law & Order Is Over)"?
