Natasha Bedingfield, with Kate Voegele and the Veronicas
Published on June 05, 2008
It doesn't get poppier, perkier or cuter than this triple-header featuring Brit Bedingfield, Australian twins the Veronicas and Cleveland singer-songwriter Voegele. Bedingfield's Pocketful of Sunshine practically bubbles over with happy: "Sticks and stones are never gonna shake me / I got a pocketful of sunshine!" she chirps in the luminous title tune. The Veronicas' Jessica and Lisa Origliasso are just as bouncy on Hook Me Up, their second album of electro-ignited alt-pop. Rainy days even sound like a good time when they sing about them. Meanwhile, Voegele's Don't Look Away continues to pick up steam with the single "Only Fooling Myself," which the 21-year-old local recently performed on the CW's One Tree Hill.
