Animal House

Welcome the Delta Tau Chi fraternity back to the big screen

By Bob Ruggiero

Published on July 24, 2008

National Lampoon’s Animal House convinced a whole generation of young boys that college life would be nonstop revelry, complete with keg parties, pot-puffing, prank-pulling and deflowering the dean’s teenage daughter on the 50-yard line. But even if director John Landis’s 1978 comedy masterpiece created unrealistic expectations, it still stands as the funniest-ever look at higher education. Reconnect with Otter, Bluto, Pinto, Flounder, D–Day, Hoover and the other brothers of the Delta Tau Chi fraternity on the big screen at 11:55 p.m. Friday and Saturday. River Oaks Theatre, 2009 West Gray. For information, call 713-866-8881 or visit www.landmarktheatres.com. $6 to $7.
Fri., July 25, 11:55 p.m.; Sat., July 26, 11:55 p.m., 2008
